What To Expect With The Latest Mediatek Dimensity 9000+ SoC? MediaTek, a chip manufacturer based in Taiwan, just introduced a new flagship chipset called the MediaTek Dimension 9000+. This chipset is designed to compete head-to-head with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. Prior to this, MediaTek had presented their flagship chipset, the Dimension 9000, in competition with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. Later on in this year, top Android smartphones will be powered by MediaTek's newly developed 4nm chipset. Let's find out what makes this chipset stand out from the others.
MediaTek is a maker of CPUs, and its primary focus is on producing processors for use in smartphones. 1997 marked the beginning of the establishment's operations in Taiwan. When it comes to the sale of chipsets, the corporation comes in at a respectable second place worldwide, behind only Qualcomm.
You will see an increase in both performance and graphics support over the previous version.
Similar to the previous chipset, the MediaTek Dimension 9000+ is constructed using a 4nm TSMS architecture. In addition to this, it has an octa core CPU that is comprised of one Cortex-X2 core, three Cortex-A710 cores, and four Cortex-A519 cores. The clock speed of the main core in the new chipset is 3.2 gigahertz, whereas the clock speed of the main core in the older chipset was 3.05 gigahertz. The Mali-G710 MC10 GPU is included in both chipsets. It comes with a five percent upgrade to the CPU and a ten percent enhancement to the GPU.
This chip is able to handle LPDDR5X RAM at speeds of up to 7500Mbps.
The maximum speed of 7500Mbps that may be reached with LPDDR5X RAM is supported by the MediaTek Dimension 9000+ processor. It is 20 percent more power efficient than LPDDR5, and it provides 8 MB of L3 CPU cache in addition to 6 MB of system cache. These chipsets come complete with 5G modems, which also have APU machine learning processors of the fifth generation. mmWave connection is not supported by the chipset in question. The business, on the other hand, has not divulged any information on the clock speed of the GPU included in the chipset.
