 Google has introduced the historical street view feature for its mobile app to commemorate Street View's first anniversary. On addition, users will now have access to a new camera in Google Maps. The firm has developed an iconic Street View feature for Android and iOS with over 220 billion photographs in over 100 countries and territories. Users have awaited this mobile device capability for quite some time.

The corporation provided details in the blog post.

Google said in a blog post that numerous new features would be introduced to celebrate the 15th anniversary of street view. With the enhancements to Street View, Android and iOS users will be able to view historical street view photographs from many years ago. When viewing street view imagery of a location, users will be able to touch anywhere on the picture to get location details.

Last year, Google discontinued support for several of its applications, including Google Maps, for outdated handsets. If you wish to use Google Maps on an older phone, it must have at least Android 3.0 Honeycomb.

After accessing Google Map, the first step is to navigate to the place where Street View has been enabled. Now, after launching street view, you must touch on a portion of the photos shown in front of you for location data to appear on the screen. Following this, viewers will be able to choose the date of their choosing to see historical pictures. Since the feature's debut in 2007, the photographs to date will be shown on it.

The new Street View camera will be fitted to Google's current street view fleet and trekker backpacks. This allows for the collection of high-quality picture data of isolated islands and other areas.
