 According to projections made by Global Data (GlobalData), an industry leader in data collection and analysis, sales of electric vehicles (EVs) would make up more than 33 percent of the total number of automobiles on the planet by the year 2031. Electric car legislation and the efforts of automobile manufacturers estimate that sales of electric vehicles will increase by a factor of ten in both China and Europe over the course of the next 15 years. Both India and the United States have set the goal of selling 30 percent and 50 percent of the world's total automobile sales by the year 2030, respectively.
