India is All Set To Make A Guinness World Record In Highway Construction

India is All Set To Make A Guinness World Record In Highway Construction: The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is attempting to set a new Guinness World Record by building the longest roadway in the least amount of time. The task of building a new highway in Maharashtra, connecting Amravati and Akola, has been delegated to the private contractor Rajput Infracon. Construction on the new highway is already under progress. He hopes to break the record by building the 75-kilometer section in 108 hours, which is less than five days' worth of work.

To establish a new benchmark, the work began at six in the morning on June 3, and it is anticipated that it will be finished on Tuesday, June 7 of the following week. If the work being done on this construction project is finished within a specified amount of time, it will set a new record for the quickest possible building of a lengthy concrete road in the world. There are over 800 personnel and over 700 laborers working in this endeavor. There are project managers, highway engineers, quality engineers, surveyors, and safety engineers among these staff and workers.

Background of the company

Since Rajput Infracon is not a startup firm, it has previously attempted several times to break a significant number of records. The business also holds the record for fastest road construction in the world, having built a road from Sangli to Satara in only one day.

Since more than ten years ago, the portion of the National Highway that connects Amravati and Akola in the state of Maharashtra that is now being built has been in a deplorable state. The work was never finished despite the fact that repeated efforts were made to hand over its restoration work to a large number of different contractors. Nitin Gadkari, a minister for the Union government, has also voiced his dissatisfaction with the glacial pace of development between Amravati and Akola.

The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) is currently supervising the construction work.

The NHAI is keeping a careful eye on the construction activities that are being done on the roadway. While a world record is being attempted, it is evaluating the condition of the road. Vilas Brahmankar, the project director and general manager of the NHAI, said that the central agency would check the quality of the job since such initiatives demand a significant amount of collaboration. Patel Infrastructure Limited established a new record for the fastest road construction in the world in February by building a 10.32-kilometer road on a four-lane highway in only one day.
